7.7 Viewing Server Console Commands

Viewing a list of server console commands is easier through Novell Remote Manager than typing the help command at the System Console prompt. You can also do several things from this view that are not physically possible at the server console. You can sort the list by the command name or by the module that registered it. Using the normal print or copy and paste features of your browser, you can also print a copy of this page to use a reference at the server console or save copy of this list to a text file and annotate the list with information that you want.

The following table shows the actions you need to take to accomplish the desired task from the navigation frame or Console Commands page.

View a list of commands that can be executed at the server console

Click the Console Commands link under the Manage Server heading in the navigation frame.

Access the server console in order to execute any of these commands from Novell Remote Manager

Click the Console Screens link on the Console Commands page.

View specific syntax or help for each command

Click the Information icon next to the command.

Several of the hidden console commands do not have any help associated with the command.

Sort the list by the registered owner of the command.

Click the Sort down icon in the Owner column.

The default sort order for this list is by the command name.

The Sorted icon next to the column title indicates the sort order of the list.
