6.2 Viewing the Health Log and Changing the Health Logging Controls

The Server Health log lets you view all the changes to the health status of the server. Using this log in combination with the health statistics and trend reports can be useful in diagnosing server problems.

The file is located in the sys:system directory on the server.

View the current Server Health log

Click the View button next to View Current Server Health Log option on the Novell Remote Manager Configuration Options page under the Novell Remote Manager Health Logging Controls heading.

Clear the log

Click the Reset button for the Reset Current Server Health Log File option on the Novell Remote Manager Configuration Options page under the Novell Remote Manager Health Logging Controls heading.

Change whether alerts are sent to the log or not

Toggle the Log Health Alerts to Log File options setting by clicking Yes or No next to this option on the Novell Remote Manager Configuration Options page under the Novell Remote Manager Health Logging Controls heading.

Change the size of the log from the default size of 8 MB

Type the new value in the Server Health Log File Rollover Size (in megabytes) field and click Apply.
