Configuring the Package Request Gadget to Limit Package Availability

The Package Request gadget's Limit Package Availability configuration setting determines whether the gadget displays all packages or only the packages the user has been specifically granted rights to.

To configure the gadget to limit availability:

1. Log in to Novell Portal Services (NPS) as a portal administrator.

2. Click Administer the Portal.

3. Click Pages.

4. Select the page that contains the Package Request gadget, then click Edit.

   The gadget list includes all the gadgets that are included on the page. The Package Request gadget should be in this list. However, it will be listed by its display name (for example, Request Applications), not its gadget name (OD_PackageRequestGadget).

5. In the list of gadgets, select the gadget, then click Edit.

6. Change the Limit Package Availability setting from FALSE to TRUE.

7. Click Continue, click Save, then click OK.
