Novell iManager and Storage-Related Plug-Ins

This section was updated to reflect the addition of the Novell Distributed File Services (NetWare®) plug-in for iManager. It is available in the NSS Management ( nssmgmt.npm) file, which also contains the Storage plug-in and File Protocols (NetWare) plug-in.

Storage Management (storagemgmt.npm)

Previously, the NSS Management ( nssmgmt.npm) file, the Archive Versioning Management ( arkmgmt.npm) file, and Novell Cluster Services Management ( ncsmgmt.npm) file each contained code in common with the others. In this release, the common code was separated to the Storage Management ( storagemgmt.npm) file.

User Quotas

This section is new.

Volume Job Control

This function is now part of the Distributed File Services plug-in, so its documentation can be found in Volume Job Control. The Move Volume and Split Volume tasks are still available on the Volumes page.

This plug-in is new in iManager 2.6.

Mounting a USB Disk as a Local FAT Volume or NSS Volume (NetWare)

NetWare 6.5 SP5 and later supports storage media attached via USB connection, such as USB flash drives, floppy drives, or hard drives. The USB drives are automatically recognized and mounted if the drive contains unpartitioned free space or is formatted with the FAT16, FAT32, or NSS file systems. Other file systems such as NTFS are not supported.
