In addition to bug fixes, the DSfW service provides the following enhancement and behavior change in the March 2014 Scheduled Maintenance for OES 11 SP1:
A new environment variable, winbind rpc timeout, is introduced in /etc/samba/smb.conf file to specify the timeout interval for the incoming RPC (Remote Procedure Call) requests. This enables you to avoid a windbindd crash due to the timeout while processing the winbind RPC requests. The default value of this parameter is 35000 milliseconds. If you observe a winbindd crash, increase the value of this parameter to a greater value, such as 100000 milliseconds.
