The Samba management plug-in for iManager is designed to help administrators work with Samba servers in the OES environment. It uses a Common Information Model (CIM) provider to exchange management information with OES servers that are running Samba 3.x in an OES-supported configuration.
The Samba management plug-in cannot be used to manage Samba 3.x running on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (non-OES) server.
