An upgrade to Novell eDirectory 8.8 SP7 is available in the April 2013 Scheduled Maintenance for OES 11. For information about the eDirectory upgrade, see TID 7011599 in the Novell Knowledgebase.
There will be no further eDirectory 8.8 SP6 patches for the OES platform. Previous patches for Novell eDirectory 8.8 SP6 are available on Novell Patch Finder.
Novell CIFS will now be able to display the list of trustees associated with the specified file or folder as per the CIFS cache record, import the trustee information from the trustee_database.xml file associated with the specified volume into the CIFS cache, and display the count of new, modified, and removed trustees for the specified volume. For more information, see OES 11: Novell CIFS for Linux Administration Guide.
In addition to bug fixes, NCP provides the following enhancements and behavior changes:
NCP server does not support NFS and AFP namespaces and hence it will not return these namespaces in response to NCP requests regardless of what namespaces are supported on that volume by NSS.
Configuration options are provided to update UID number for non-LUM users.
In addition to bug fixes, Novell Cluster Services provides the following enhancement in the April 2013 Scheduled Maintenance for OES 11 SP1:
When you change the nodes or failover order in a resource’slist, the change takes effect immediately when you click or if the resource is running. Otherwise, it takes effect the next time the resource is brought online. Previously, the change did not occur until the cluster resource was taken offline and brought online.
