Starting OpenOffice.org

The office suite OpenOffice.org offers a complete set of office tools, including word processor, spreadsheet, presentation, vector drawing, and database components. Because OpenOffice.org is available for a number of operating systems, you can use the same data across different computing platforms.

To start OpenOffice.org, press Alt+F2 and enter OOo or open the main menu and navigate to Office Suite. To create a new document, select File > New and choose the type of document to create. To open an existing document, select Open and choose the appropriate file from the file system.
