System Requirements
The OpenOffice.OpenXML ODF Converter 3.0 requires one of the following
versions of OpenOffice.org:
- OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 or later Novell edition for Windows
- OpenOffice.org GoOo build for Windows
- OpenOffice.org 2.0.4 or later for SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10
- OpenOffice_org-2.3 package for openSUSE 10.3
- OpenOffice_org-2.4 package for openSUSE 10.3
- OpenOffice_org-2.4 package for openSUSE 11.0
- Openoffice_org-3.0 package for openSUSE 11.1
Installation Instructions
Linux
- Save the downloaded odf-converter-3.0-6.i586.rpm file to disk.
- In a terminal, type "su" to become the root user, then enter the
root password.
- Change to the directory containing the saved rpm, then run the
following:
rpm -Uvh odf-converter-3.0-6.i586.rpm
- Restart OpenOffice.org if it is running.
Linux for x86_64/EM64T
This version requires that you have 64-bit hardware and openSUSE-10.3
or later.
- Save the downloaded odf-converter-3.0-6.x86_64.rpm file to disk.
- In a terminal, type "su" to become the root user, then enter the
root password.
- Change to the directory containing the saved rpm, then run the
following:
rpm -Uvh odf-converter-3.0-6.x86_64.rpm
- Restart OpenOffice.org if it is running.
Windows
- Save the downloaded odf-converter-3.0-6.oxt file to disk.
- In OpenOffice.org, click Tools > Extension Manager, then click
Add.
- Browse to the location of the odf-converter-3.0-6.oxt file, then
select the file.
- Click Open.
Note: Files with a .oxt extension are currently referenced as
"UNO Package Bundles" in OpenOffice.org, although not all .oxt files are
UNO files.
- Restart OpenOffice.org.
