DirXML® Password Synchronization allows passwords to be securely, consistently, and automatically shared across Novell® eDirectoryTM, Microsoft* NT domains, and Microsoft Active Directory.
With PasswordSync, a user is required to remember only a single password to log in to any of these systems. Administrators can manage passwords in the system of their choice. Any time a password is changed in one of these environments, it will be updated in all of them.
This product is specifically designed for use with DirXML and the Active Directory driver or NT Domain driver. In this environment, PasswordSync supplements the bidirectional data synchronization model of DirXML. As with other data fields, the synchronization of passwords is initiated and managed at the domain level.
