Download and Installation

downloading the toolkit

Note: Your workstation must have 100 MB of available disk space in order to download and install the Novell Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit.

1. Create a temporary installation directory (for example: SCMT) on the local hard disk of the computer that you are going to run the Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit from.
2. Click Download on the Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit download page.
3. Enter the username and password for your Novell Account, and then click login.
4. Download the scmt.exe file to the installation directory you created in Step 1.

installing the toolkit

1. Double-click the scmt.exe file and follow the instructions to install the software.
2. To run the Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit, go to the Windows Start menu and click Programs > Novell Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit > Novell Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit.
