Where Terminal Launcher Fits In

Terminal Launcher acts as the translator between the SecureLogin single sign-on login sequence and a user's specific variables (for example, the username and password). Terminal Launcher coordinates the information being entered onto a mainframe or Telnet screen.

The following figure illustrates Terminal Launcher's main window.

You can configure Terminal Launcher to work with several different terminal emulators, launch the terminal session, and then run a script to log the user in to the system. You can use Terminal Launcher to navigate the user to a particular subsystem or menu within an application.

Terminal Launcher can perform any keystrokes within an application that a user can do manually. At the corporate level, all who log in can use the same script. Only the username, password, and other login-specific variables change.

Terminal Launcher is preconfigured for numerous emulators. As a first preference, you should use these preconfigurations. If the emulator you want to use is not preconfigured, browse the chapters in this Guide. If the chapters don't have the information you need, use this section to manually configure the emulator.
