7.2 Upgrading from Novell SecureLogin 6.0

Even if SecureLogin 6.0 was deployed to work with eDirectory, a cache most likely exists on the workstation, unless the administrator turned that capability off. After you upgrade, the later version of SecureLogin recognizes the cache left by SecureLogin 6.0 and automatically works with it.

If all SecureLogin 6.0 data was stored in eDirectory, and if SecureLogin 6.0 SP1 is installed to work with Novell SecretStore®, SecureLogin 6.0 SP1 still uses the Prot:* attributes in the directory, even if it is deployed to use SecretStore.

7.2.1 Upgrading in Standalone Mode

When you upgrade SecureLogin in the standalone mode, you will be prompted whether to run SecureLogin in the Seamless mode or not.

If you select yes, SecureLogin 6.0 SP1 will automatically take your NDS username and password and login.
