7.4 Refreshing the Cache

The Novell SecureLogin cache is encrypted local copy of Novell SecureLogin data. It allows users who are not connected to the network, for example, if they are working offline or using a laptop, to continue using Novell SecureLogin even if the directory is unavailable.

By default, a cache file is created on the workstation as part of the Novell SecureLogin installation. The cache file stores your data locally and is synchronized regularly with your data in the directory.

The directory and workstation caches are synchronized regularly, by default every five minutes.

To refresh the cache manually:

  1. Right-click the Novell SecureLogin icon in the notification area, then select Advanced > Refresh Cache.

The cache is refreshed and it is synchronized with the cache in the directory.
