The Driver for Sentinel provides integration with Identity Manager and Sentinel to track user account information. Each user account can have multiple account identifiers for each system in the Identity Manager solution. The Sentinel Identity Tracking Driver tracks each account identifier and sends that information to Sentinel. Sentinel can run reports to correlate each account identifier with a specific user.
For example, in Active Directory there are five separate account identifiers. If one account identifier is renamed, the Driver for Sentinel synchronizes this information to Sentinel. Sentinel generates reports and is able to track the account identifiers and show all activity related to the user account even though the account identifiers might change.
