Download the following:

• Part 1 (download.novell.com): SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (SP1) VMware Virtual Machine for SAP Trial
• Part 2 (http://sdn.sap.com): SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Application Server on Linux - Vmware Edition for Evaluation
• Part 3 (http://sdn.sap.com): SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Java VMware Trial for Development of SAP Composite Applications

This download (Part 1) includes a fully functional SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (SP1) prepared for use with VMware Edition of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Application Server on Linux and VMware Trial for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Java for Development of SAP Composite Applications.

Evaluation of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Application Server on Linux

For evaluation of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Application Server on Linux you need Part 2 of the evaluation package in addition. Part 2 includes the SAP components SAP NetWeaver 7.0 ABAP and J2EE 7.0 Application Server, Web Dynpro ABAP and Java, SAP Interactive. Part 2 can be downloaded from the SAP Community Network: http://sdn.sap.com > Downloads > SAP NetWeaver Main Release Downloads > search for VMWare Edition

1. Extract SLES components (Part 1) and SAP components (Part 2) into a common directory


2. Start the Virtual Appliance using your VMware software. In this directory you will find a file named index.html describing the first steps to get up and running.
   This version will work with recent versions of VMware Player, Server, Workstation, ESX and Fusion on the variety of host operating systems supported by VMware.Refer to the file index.html for additional information on how to install and use our Vmware edition of the NetWeaver 7.0 test drive for evaluation.

Evaluation of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Java VMware Trial for Development of SAP Composite Applications

For evaluation of SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Java VMware Trial for Development of SAP Composite Applications you need Part 3 of the evaluation package in addition. Part 3 includes the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 components WebAS (J2EE Engine), EP 7.0, CAF GP and CAF Core, CAF Visual Composer and Adobe Document Service. Part 3 can be downloaded from the SAP Community Network: http://sdn.sap.com -> Downloads

1. Extract SLES components (Part 1) and SAP components (Part 3) into a common directory and start the Virtual Appliance using your VMware software.
   The SAP NetWeaver 7.0-Java-VMware-Trial provides a complete system and a scenario and development tools addressing the Development of SAP Composite Applications with NetWeaver 7.0. The target of this eval system is to provide a comprehensive set for self-education and trainings. The technology is based is the SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SP11, J2EE-Stack only.
