The current Storage Manager 5.3 Engine and Agent can be run on OES 2023 with some caveats. None of the rpm package headers are signed, and the error will need to be ignored during installation. Please verify checksums to ensure that the downloaded packages are good.
Install OES 2023 with the OES NCP Server package and configure.
Set up the software repositories.
Download the most current version of Storage Manager 5.3 for eDirectory.
Use “zypper install ./storagemanager-engine-5.3.x-x.x86_64.rpm”, to install and satisfy all necessary dependencies.
Instead of the documented “rpm -i” method.
Follow the Storage Manager 5.3 for eDirectory Installation Guide for configuration.
The current Event Monitor package can be installed but will not be able to connect to LDAP properly. You can continue to run the Event Monitor on OES 2018 SP3.
