The Microsoft Active Directory schema contains formal definitions of every object class that can be created in an Active Directory forest. The schema also contains formal definitions of every attribute that can exist in an Active Directory object.
To enable collaborative storage or auxiliary storage management, Storage Manager extends the Active Directory schema to enable Storage Manager attributes. These attributes are specified in Micro Focus Storage Manager 5.0 for Active Directory Administration Guide.
NOTE:If your Storage Manager deployment will not include support for collaborative storage or auxiliary storage management, there is no need to extend the Active Directory schema.
