Licensing terms for Ximian® Desktop are displayed during the install process, and you must read and agree to them before completing the installation. So that you can refer to them later, the licenses are also available at the Ximian Web site.
Each piece of software ("package") shipped with Ximian Desktop has its own license, which may or may not be determined by Ximian, Inc.
Most packages in Ximian Desktop are free software, licensed under the GNU General Public License or Lesser General Public License (LGPL). You can find the source code for these packages at the developer.ximian.com, www.gnome.org, and www.openoffice.org Web sites. You can learn more about Free Software by visiting the Free Software Foundation Web site at www.gnu.org.
Nonfree software shipped with Ximian Desktop includes Acrobat Reader, the Java Runtime Environmnet (JRE), Flash, the Agfa fonts, and RealPlayer. These programs are distributed under proprietary licenses and you may not redistribute them without permission from the manufacturers.
