304: Unable to open the file pathname/filename.

Source:  Sender and Receiver

Severity:  Critical

Explanation:  This error occurs when the files are accessed by both the Sender and the Receiver. In the Inventory cycle, the Sender and the Receiver on the servers transfer the compressed scan files from the lower-level servers to the higher-level servers.

Possible Cause:  The disk is full on the server.

Action:  Ensure that there is free disk space.

Possible Cause:  The directory that contains the files does not exist.

Action:  Ensure that the directory exists on the server.

Possible Cause:  There is no Read and Write access to the files in the directory.

Action:  Ensure that the files have Read and Write access.

Action:  If the source of the problem is the Receiver component, follow the specified actions and restart the Receiver from the Service Manager.

If the source of the problem is the Sender component, follow the specified actions before the Sender is rescheduled. You do not need to restart the Sender because the roll-up time scheduled in the Roll-Up policy triggers the Sender.
