27.4 Copying an Existing Contract

You can copy an existing contract to create a new contract. When you do so, the copy retains the general information, vendor information, lease information, and documents. All date information is removed.

  1. In ZENworks Control Center, click Asset Management > Contract Management > Contracts to display the Contracts page.

  2. In the Contracts panel, select the check box next to the contract you want to copy, then click Copy to display the Copy Contract dialog box.

  3. Fill in the following fields:

Contract ID: Specify a new identifier for the contract. The contract ID cannot be the same as any other contract ID in the folder.

Name: Specify a new name for the contract

Parent Contract: If you want to designate the source contract as this contract’s parent, select Source contract. If you want to designate the source contract’s parent as this contract’s parent, select Same parent as source. Otherwise, select No parent.

If you need to designate some other contract as the parent, you can create the contract and then edit it. At that point, you can select any existing contract.

  4. Click OK to create the new contract and add it to the Contracts list.
