Before you can use ZENworks 11 SP3 to upgrade OES2 SP3 (base SLES 10 SP3) servers to OES2 SP3 (base SLES 10 SP4), you must have the following prerequisites in place:
A ZENworks 11 SP2 server is installed and running in your network.

The ZENworks 11 SP3 Agent is installed on each OES2 SP3 server that you plan to upgrade.
IMPORTANT:The agent included with OES provides only package-management capabilities via the ZENworks Management Daemon. Unless the full agent is installed, updates cannot be scheduled from the ZENworks 11 SP2 server.
Each OES2 SP3 (base SLES 10 SP3) server is registered with the ZENworks 11 SP3 server.
The OES2 SP3 (base SLES 10 SP3) server is updated with the latest OES2 SP3 and SLES 10 SP3 patches.
It doesn’t matter which update method you use.
