Zone Sharing Settings

This panel allows you to configure one or more Primary Servers as Sharing Servers to enable sharing of bundle and policies to other ZENworks zones.

The Suspend zone sharing box can be checked to suspend the zone level sharing of content. Even if the Suspend zone sharing box is checked, you can add, remove, or, edit the Sharing Server settings.

Sharing Servers

The following table lists the tasks that you can perform with Sharing Servers by using the options in the Sharing Servers panel.

Task

Steps

Add a Sharing Server

  1. Click Add. The Add Sharing Server window appears.

  2. Browse for and select the required server for sharing in the Sharing Server text box.

Other subscribed ZENworks zones can replicate bundles and policies only from the configured sharing servers.

  3. In the Max Replication Sessions box, select the maximum number of replication sessions that can replicate objects from the sharing server simultaneously.

The default value for the Max Replication Sessions is 10. You can choose any value between 1 and 100.

Once the configured replication session limit reached, the subscribing zones will not be able to replicate objects until any running replication session running from the sharing server completes.

NOTE:This limit applies only to running replication sessions. It does not apply to sessions for configuring subscriptions.

  4. In the Throttle Rate (KB/sec) box, select the content download throttle rate.

The default value for the throttle rate is 0 KB/sec, which means the throttle rate of the network on which the device is located is considered.

This throttle rate applies only while downloading the ZENworks content (.zc) files by the subscribing zones.

If multiple replication sessions are downloading content from this sharing server, the sum of the rate of content download by all replication sessions should not exceed the throttle rate configured for the sharing server.

NOTE:This throttle rate is independent of the throttle rate used for content replication across different primary servers of the same zone and the throttle rate configures for the managed devices of the zone.

  5. Click Ok.

Edit a Sharing Server

  1. Select the check box next to the Sharing Server you want to edit.

  2. Click Edit. The Edit Sharing Server window appears where you can edit the Sharing Server information.

Remove Sharing Servers

  1. Select the check box next to the Sharing Server you want to remove.

  2. Click Remove. A message appears asking to confirm the deletion.

  3. Click Ok.
