22.0 Tracking the Usage of ZENworks Application Virtualization Applications

You can track the usage of ZENworks Application Virtualization (ZAV) applications by integrating ZAV with ZENworks Asset Management (ZAM). The administrator can track the usage of any software application that is streamed using ZAV and then view this information as part of ZENworks Asset Management Usage Reports.

To track the usage of ZAV applications:

  1. Integrate a ZENworks server with the ZAV server.

  2. Log in to any Windows adaptive agent device and stream some applications from the ZAV server.

After the applications are streamed and closed, the usage data is captured and reported in the Usage Reports section of Asset Management.

You can view the device (ZAV device) information in ZENworks Control Center by navigating to Devices > Inventoried > Servers or Workstations

NOTE:

  • All ZAV devices are represented with the icon to differentiate them from other devices (IOA/Managed).

  • All the usage information from the ZAV device will be displayed with ZENworks Application Virtualization as the manufacturer name.

  • ZAV usage and the normal usage are not unified. The normal usage will be shown with the respective manufacturer names, and the ZAV usage will be displayed with ZENworks Application Virtualization as the manufacturer name. This is particularly done to differentiate the ZAV usage from the normal usage.

For more information, see the ZAV Server Guide.
