The following are the currently known issues for ZENworks Personality Migration.
7588: Undo log shows the original path for files that were redirected
When you have redirected files and folders on the destination, the Undo log for that migration shows the original path for the files and folders. When the migration is undone using that undo log, the redirected files are removed from their new location, except the display is incorrect.
9354: Cannot establish a connection between the machines when migrating to Windows XP SP2
If the firewall is enabled on your Windows XP SP2 system, a message displays indicating that ZENworks Personality Migration cannot establish a connection between the source and destination machines in a real-time migration.
Windows XP SP2 has a built-in firewall. The firewall is on by default and blocks communication between the XP system and any other PC. This prevents a real-time migration from being able to connect. You must turn off the firewall setting before you perform the real-time migration.
To turn off the XP firewall, follow these steps:
10184 NTFS security changes do not save as a revision
If you are creating a revision of a DNA file, and the only changes made to a document were NTFS security changes, a revision of the file is not saved in the DNA file. To save the new NTFS security changes, you must make a change to the contents of the document.
5870: Migration Supported only to Same Operating System Languages
You must use the same operating system language to migrate application settings between different languages. For example, you can migrate Japanese Office to English Office, if both are installed on a Japanese operating system.
5926: If Japanese MUI is selected, ZENworks Personality Migration does not function
On English Windows XP, if MUI is installed and Japanese is set to the default user interface language, you cannot use ZENworks Personality Migration controls in the user interface.
6176: Must use the operating system language to enter file names and paths
You must enter file names and paths in the user interface and on the command line using the operating system language. For example, if you are using a German operating system, you must enter file names and paths in the user interface or on the command line using German characters.
7635: Unicode characters in filters are not supported if the filter is created in the ZENworks Personality Migration user interface
If you create a filter in the ZENworks Personality Migration user interface that contains Unicode characters, the files it is looking for are not migrated.
The solution is to create the filter in the DNA Template Editor and perform the migration using the template. The reason the template works and the ZENworks Personality Migration user interface created filter does not work is because a specific dll must be installed. This dll is installed with the Enterprise Tools, but not with ZENworks Personality Migration. This dll causes a reboot and is not amenable to automating migrations.
9568: Cannot create a spanned DNA file to a UNC path on Windows 95 systems
Windows 95 does not support the ability to save spanned files to UNC paths. If you want to save a spanned DNA file to a UNC path from a Windows 95 system, you must first map the destination drive to the local machine. Then you can save the spanned DNA file to the mapped drive.
