After reviewing the information provided in this readme, you should start with the Getting Started Guide . The Getting Started Guide provides information about the ZENworks 7 Suite products, including important installation and upgrade information.
ZENworks 7 Suite with Support Pack 1 Interim Release 1 (SP IR1) includes updates to the following products:
Desktop Management: Includes new platform support and a new imaging kernel. For a detailed list of new features in ZENworks 7, ZENworks 7 with Support Pack 1, and ZENworks 7 SP1 IR1, see “Upgrade” in the Novell ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Installation Guide .

The following products have not changed in this release. They are the same versions as those included in Support Pack 1 or Support Pack 1 Release 2.
Data Management: Data Management, powered by Novell iFolder® 2.1.7, has not changed from the Suite 7 Support Pack 1 release. For a list of enhancements from previous iFolder versions, see “What’s New” in the Novell iFolder 2.1 Installation and Administration Guide .

Software Packaging: Software Packaging has not changed from the AdminStudio 8.0 ZENworks Edition in the Suite 7 SP1 R2 release. For a more detailed list of enhancements over previous versions, see the Novell ZENworks Personality Migration Release Impact Guide .
If you are currently using the first release of ZENworks 7 Suite with Support Pack 1, be aware that Interim Release 1 includes updates for Desktop Management (including ZENworks 7 with SP1 Desktop Management Services on Linux), and Server Management only (see What's New in ZENworks 7 with Support Pack 1 Interim Release 1, above).
Application of the Interim Release 1 patches for the respective product capabilities (ZENworks 7 Desktop Management SP1 IR1, ZENworks 7 Desktop Management Services on Linux SP1 IR1, and ZENworks 7 Server Management SP1 IR1) does not constitute a complete overlay of these products. Running the patch installation programs ugrades the products with the interim release fixes.

The issues in this section have been identified as being of interest to users of the ZENworks 7 Suite with SP1 who plan to use other Novell products along with ZENworks.
The ZENworks 7 Suite with SP1 supports Novell eDirectory 8.8 x, with the exception of the encrypted attributes, a feature included in eDirectory 8.8.1, which is included on Companion CD 1 of this product.
