You can use the license installation option to upgrade from an evaluation license or to install a new license over an expired license. If you do not have a valid license installed, ZfS will not function.
To upgrade or install a new license:
If you have not already done so, log in as an Admin user or equivalent to the NDS tree containing the target management server.
Insert the ZfS Software CD.
If the startup screen is not automatically launched after inserting the CD, you can launch it by running WINSETUP.EXE at the root of the CD.
Click Install Management and Monitoring Services.
Click Install Site Management Server License.
Accept the default path to the license or browse to a different license location > click ok.
IMPORTANT: Because Management and Monitoring Services and Policy and Distribution services use different licensing models, they each require their own licenses. Even after completing this procedure and installing a license, you will still need to install a Policy and Distribution license when you install Policy and Distribution services.
