Understanding the Server Configuration Service

The Server Configuration Service performs the following tasks:

• Reads the policy information from the Novell eDirectory^TM and passes it to other Inventory components.
• Validates the policies to ensure that the policies are correctly configured.
• Validates the Inventory database version.
