Installing ConsoleOne 1.3.3 from the ZENworks for Servers Companion CD

Because you administer ZfS primarily through ConsoleOne^®, you need to have ConsoleOne 1.3.3 installed on at least one workstation or server before you install ZfS. To check your current version in ConsoleOne, click Help > About ConsoleOne.

To install ConsoleOne 1.3.3:

1. From the ZENworks for Servers Companion CD, run:

   \CONSOLEONE\C1.EXE

   The WinZip Self-Extractor dialog box is displayed.

2. Click Setup.

   After the files have been extracted, the Installation Wizard starts.

3. Click Next to begin the installation.

4. Review the License Agreement > click Accept.

5. Browse to and select the location where you want to install ConsoleOne > click Next twice.

   • On a workstation, you might choose C:\NOVELL.
   • On a NetWare server, you might choose SYS:\PUBLIC\MGMT.
   • On a Windows server, you might choose C:\NOVELL.

   If you have an older version of ConsoleOne installed on the workstation that you use for a previous version of ZfS, you can specify a different path. For example, change the 1.2 subdirectory to 1.3, or 1.3.3.

   IMPORTANT:  If you are upgrading from ZfS 2, we recommend that you use the 1.2 subdirectory so that you can manage both ZfS versions from the same instance of ConsoleOne. For more information, see Upgrading from a Previous Version of ZENworks for Servers .

6. Select any languages in addition to English that you want to install > click Next twice.

7. After reviewing the summary of products to be installed, click Finish.

   Objects are analyzed and the installation is performed.

8. When the installation completes, click Close.

When you run the ZfS Installation Wizard, you will choose whether to install the ZfS ConsoleOne snap-ins to a workstation and/or one or more servers. This choice must match the location where you have installed ConsoleOne 1.3.3.
