NOTE:You must have backed up your system at least one time before you can restore from a backup. See Section 3.15.1, Initiating a New Backup.
You can restore backed-up data to the same physical server or to a new physical server.

Contact Novell Support or (800) 858-4000 and request that the secret key for that license be cleared.
Install Novell ZENworks Network Access Control on the new server:
The Novell ZENworks Network Access Control version must be the same as the previously installed Novell ZENworks Network Access Control version.
The Novell ZENworks Network Access Control server IP address must be the same as the previously installed Novell ZENworks Network Access Control server IP address.
Create an admin user when prompted during the installation process. See the Novell ZENworks Network Access Control Installation Guide for installation instructions.
Enter the original license key when prompted during the installation process. If you have not already arranged to have the secret key cleared (Step 1), you will not be able to validate the license key at this step.
After the installation is complete, log in to the Novell ZENworks Network Access Control user interface and check for rule updates (System configuration>>Test updates>>Check for test updates).
Restore the data by following the instructions in Restoring to the Same Server.
Click restore system from backup file. The Restore system window appears:

Enter the backup file name or click Browse and navigate to the backup file.
Click ok. A status window appears.
The system data is restored and the login window appears:

IMPORTANT:Running this script resets your entire system, not just the database. See Section 16.5.8, Resetting your System for more information.
Log in as root to the Novell ZENworks Network Access Control MS using SSH.
Enter the following commands:
resetSystem.py
This script shuts down all of the services, cleans the database, iptables, and DHCP server, and restarts everything.
