This session introduces you to the tools and logs available to troubleshoot problems within ZENworks 11 Configuration Management. You also examine several key components and processes that are useful in troubleshooting core components of ZENworks Configuration Management.
After completing this session you, should be able to:
*Effectively use the tools included with ZENworks for troubleshooting problems
*Identify the key log files and what types of problems they are useful in helping troubleshoot
*Be familiar with key third party tools and how those tools can be used to assist in troubleshooting ZENworks problems
*Describe the key processes of the core ZENworks environment such as login, refresh, agent and server startups
This session includes both lecture and hands-on exercises. In the hands-on portion of this session, you use the information learned to troubleshoot broken environments and learn how to best apply information taught.
Prerequisites: A thorough understanding of ZCM terminology and architecture as well as having experience using the ZENworks Control Center to create and assign bundles and policies.
