Well AMD/ATI have released the driver now. Not tried it myself but others say it works. But it have a small bug trying to build it with non-EN LANG settings. Check the Novell bugzilla for a fix for this problem.

Great show!

Something Martin said really hit home with me: I never would have used KDE before I got married – I had a different philosophy – but 8+ years with a German can change anyone’s mind! =)

At least my computer bends to my will, thanks in part to KDE.

1) I think I will download 10.2 and do some fresh loads.
2) I think I would like to buy a copy of SLED including a 1 year support license. I can’t show it off to my people unless I have an ongoing working example. We are a shop, arg!!! There is a light at the end of the dark ms tunnel. They have actually asked about OpenOffice. There may be hope for these dinasours yet. Thanks for all you guys do. Keep up the good fight.

Hello! Everyone!.I heve all sorts of problems for sound facility in opensuse10.2(retail version). My machine is cusom built. specs for the machine are:
ASUS CUV4X-c mother board; Intel Pentium III 1GHz coppermine Boxed CPU; two Hard disks- one for windows, other for linux only; Matrox millenium G450 graphics card; Creative labs’ Sound blaster Live!value sound card; Samsung Syncmaster 750S monitor; CD rom and Sony CD writer. I have no problem in windows (98 SE).When I try to configure Sound blaster card through Yast, the O.S detects the card but when I click on test, I don’t get any sound. I have 512 MB main memory. The volume control does not correspond to sound cards I/O i.e. I can’t make put line in, line out etc.
regards to all and thanks

Open suse 10.2. My machine is custom built in 2001. configuration: Intel PentiumIII 1GHz coppermine cpu retail boxed pack; 512 MB RAM; 2 40GB HDDs(IDE); 1 for windows98SE, other for LINUX; Matrox Millenium G450 AGP display card; Creative labs’ Sound Blaster Live!value sound card(PCI);ASUS retail boxed pack CUV4X-c motherboard; Samsung 52X CD-ROM drive; Sony CRX230E CD-R/RW DRIVE; SAMSUNG SyncMaster 750S CRT MONITOR. The sound mixers with 10.2 are confusing. They don’t correspond to Creative’s mixer. I also don’t find a continuous uninterruptible digitization for large analog music signal( on C-90 audio cassettes). Any suggestion/ help welcomed. Sorry to bother experts. I can digitize on windows 98SE. I generally try to avoid using windows. Installed some versions of ALSA and audacity. In audacity I only get mic input and no line inputs.
Thanks and regards to all
