- Character encoding support has been improved for XML input or output files.
- Code has been added to prevent an occasional null pointer exception during the shutdown of the Publisher channel.
- The driver now shuts down properly when a loopback condition is detected. A loopback condition occurs when the input and output directories are the same and the input and output extensions are the same.
- A defect in the Solaris Java Virtual Machine has a work around, so the driver now works on Solaris systems as well as all other eDirectory platforms

Working with the Remote Loader
If a driver issues and expects a form of XML other than XDS (the defined Novell subset of possible XML formats), the style sheets for the driver might need to be modified to enable it to work with the Remote Loader.
Novell Consulting Flat File Driver and the DirXML Driver for Delimited Text
DirXML 1.0 installations that use the DirXML Driver for Delimited Text or the Novell Consulting Flat File driver and that wish to use the same configuration with the Remote Loader will need to update the output transformation style sheet so that output documents are not converted to the delimited text form expected by the driver. See the default output transformation style sheet for the DirXML Driver for Delimited Text for an example.

The driver must be activated within 90 days of installation or it will shut down. At any time during the 90 days, or afterward, you can choose to activate the driver to a fully licensed state.
For more information about completing activation tasks, refer to Activating Your DirXML Product (http://www.novell.com/documentation/lg/dirxml11a).
