Driver Name Change
The name of the driver's .jar file has changed from NetscapeShim.jar to LDAPShim.jar and the corresponding Java class names that it contains have changed. If you want to upgrade an existing Netscape driver installation, you must change the name of the Java driver module from com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.netscape.NetscapeDriverShim to com.novell.nds.dirxml.driver.ldap.LDAPDriverShim.
Supported LDAP Servers
In addition to the supported servers listed in the documentation, the driver supports IBM Directory Server 4.1 and Netscape Directory Server 6.

The driver must be activated within 90 days of installation or it will shut down. At any time during the 90 days, or afterward, you can choose to activate the driver to a fully licensed state.
