NetWare Server Memory

NetWare provides increased memory efficiency with three important features: logical memory addressing, virtual memory, and protected memory. For a general introduction to these and other aspects of NetWare's memory architecture, see Understanding.

NetWare also provides tools to help you manage and tune the memory system:

• The MONITOR utility provides statistics that indicate how efficiently memory is being used by the server and individual modules. For information about memory statistics and general memory management, see Managing.
• Settable parameters and console commands let you tune the memory system to achieve optimal performance. For information on tuning memory, see Optimizing.
