ZENworks 7 Desktop Management with SP1 IR3a
| Novell® ZENworks® 7 Desktop Management
lets you manage Windows* desktops and laptops, including the ability
to automate distribution of desktop, thin-client, and Web applications,
as well as provide self-healing of applications; remotely manage
workstations, including file transfers and real-time diagnostics;
inventory workstation hardware and software for both troubleshooting
and auditing purposes; deploy standard operating environments through
the use of workstation imaging; and maintain standard operating
environments through user and workstation policies that control
workstation environments and behavior.
ZENworks Desktop Management Services on Linux provides the same Windows desktop and laptop management capabilities as ZENworks 7 Desktop Management installed on Windows or NetWare servers, but its back-end is installed on and configurable on Linux (OES Linux and SLES 9x or SLES 10) servers. This release enables you to install Novell ZENworks Desktop Management on SLES 10 SP2, NetWare 6.5 SP7, SLES 9 SP4, and OES 2.0. Support for eDirectory 8.8 SP2 is also provided. The documentation listed below is for the ZENworks 7 Desktop Management with Support Pack 1 Interim Release 3. This release is available separately or as part of ZENworks 7 Suite with Support Pack 1 Release 3.
