Identity and Security management seminar
A lot of companies talking about Identity Management but not everyone really understand what it is Our intention is to show what it does. It certainly not a panacea and is not a solution "out of the box". But it can be very, very useful tool not only from management, but also from automation and security prospective. We will tell what you can do, show practical usage examples as well as live demonstration (will not going to talk about ROI - we plan to do it next time)
Security. Everyone collects log files. Everyone have them. Everywhere. Do you really know what happening. Do you review them. Would you able to analyze them if required. IT research companies and auditors telling that most popular answer will be something like - hm ... yes ... probably ... maybe
Amount of data in log files is huge. And there is no practically possible to analyze them manually. So companies using Log Management solution for that Log Manager is first software solution which Novell offered as ready to run software appliance. Customers really liked that idea and now is plan in similar way offer other applications such as Sentinel, ZenWorks and Open Enterprise Server. Appliances are created with SuseStudio. Good news is that this is freely available for everyone. You can create your own appliances would it be light desktop workplace image or router software or for example internet browsing appliance At the end planned security discussion roundtable where you can place your opinions. Discuss with your collegues etc. We plan this as unformal session - with some wine ;)
