Novell has partnered with Lumen Software to provide K-12 specific solutions running on Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise or on SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop. These solutions range from a comprehensive suite of robust plug-n-use portal applications which may be easily deployed across your organization to the compelling thin client technology that lets you extend the life of your hardware by re-deploying older desktops as dumb-terminals in the classroom, lab or library. These thin-client terminals, or inexpensive new terminals, boot directly to the Linux server so they run at the speed of the server, not the speed of the computer being used as a terminal.
