3.0 Driver Is Installed As Part of DirXML Engine

The service driver differs from traditional DirXML® drivers in that it is not system-specific. It can be configured to service any system being synchronized through DirXML.

Service drivers are installed automatically with the DirXML engine. No separate installation is required.

4.0 Known Issues

When the driver is run on Linux, it cannot reliably determine the local IP address because of a Linux JVM issue. The driver needs to know the local IP address if you configure a Publisher channel for the driver with an http server. In this case, you must specify the local IP address in the driver parameter labeled "HTTP IP address or host name."
