Partner Audits

Why We Audit

Similar to the other Licensing Audits we conduct, we perform Partner Audits as a regular course of business. The following objectives for conducting these audits are similar to those for Novell's Customers:

  • to identify process efficiencies and deficiencies through discussion and feedback (This will help us identify Novell efficiencies and deficiencies as well),
  • to help Partners understand their responsibilities to the Customer and to Novell as a Partner, and
  • to determine order, fulfillment, and disbursement compliance per the relevant Partner agreements

Novell views this as an opportunity to not only review our Partner's processes but also to review Novell's, as well. Hopefully, through this exercise, we will be able to improve efficiencies for the betterment of each company and of our Customers.

Audit Scope

The scope of the audit covers the prior three years and includes the following:

  • Review of the Partner's systems, processes, and controls that manage Novell's licensing programs
  • Review of the relevant Novell contracts and program guides
  • Review of the Partner's order processing flow
  • Review of the Partner's transactional data
  • Review of the Partner's process/policy documentation as it relates to distributing Novell products

It is our intention to complete the on-site portion of the audit as quickly as possible so as not to interfere with your daily business responsibilities.
