Novell and Intel
Xen Virtualization
Engineering teams at Intel and Novell regularly work on-site at one another's locations to optimize their products. The result is a continuously evolving trajectory of increasing performance, flexibility, and reliability, culminating in the introduction of the Intel Xeon processor 5500 series and SUSE® Linux Enterprise 11 for the intelligent data center.
In May 2009, Intel and Novell broadened their efforts to collaborate and encourage Original Equipment Manufacturers and Original Design Manufacturers to adopt Moblin, an optimized open source Linux software platform for enabling rich Internet experiences on Intel Atom processor-based netbooks and other mobile systems. Novell's contributions to the Moblin™ ecosystem include leading the Open Source development of key operating system features such as window, e-mail, and media management.
