Thomas G. With the addition of Plaskett to its board, Novell gains strong leadership and experience that will be critical as the company continues to transform itself and take the lead in the secure identity management, Web applications development, and cross-platform services markets.
"With the election of Tom Plaskett, we add proven leadership and executive talent to Novell's board of directors, and hands-on experience with bringing about positive change in large organizations," said Jack L. Messman, chairman, president, and CEO of Novell. "When you also take into account Tom's expertise in marketing and finance, it is evident what a valuable addition he is to our board. We're eager to benefit from the contributions Tom will be able to make to Novell's strategy and business plans going forward."
