Novell announces new appointments to its Finance, Government and Partner teams
Bracknell, UK — February 8 2006 — Novell UK Limited (Novell) has today announced a number of new appointments which will strengthen its Finance, Government and Partner teams. Andy Voysey joins as Director of Financial Services (UK Sales), to continue to drive revenue and market share for Novell in key growth areas, such as the Linux and Identity Management markets. Andy joins Novell from Microsoft where he held the equivalent role for the last four years and is well known to the Financial Services sector in the UK. Overall he spent eight years with Microsoft, and beforehand, twelve years with IBM where he held management positions in the AS/400 and Software businesses.

The Government team is pleased to announce that Sean McCarry has joined Novell as Director of the Government sector for Novell. Sean will be setting Novell's strategic approach to all the vertical sectors within Government and positioning Novell as a key infrastructure software partner to major government projects, including ID cards, IMPACT, e-gov and the implications of the Gershon review on IT departments.
Sean joins Novell from Computacenter where he spent 10 years working in the Government sector, most recently he led Computacenters new business team for government. In total Sean has spent 15 years selling into the government sector and brings a wealth of experience and contacts to Novell.
Chris Papayianni, Area General Manager Western Region (UK, Ireland, Middle East, Africa), welcomed Seans appointment, Seans reputation has preceded him and his strong senior level relationships in Central and Local government will bring valuable strengths to our public sector business team.
In an internal move, Brian Green has become the Technical Director for Novell UK. In his new role Brian will be responsible for the pre-sales technical team at Novell UK.
Previously, Brian was responsible for the introduction of Novell's new Linux offerings into the EMEA market place since the acquisition of both Ximian and SUSE Linux as well as Novell's collaboration software, including established products such as Novell NetWare® and Novell GroupWise®.
Novells Partner team has also strengthened its alliances and business development areas with twelve new appointments. They will work with the partner community to generate new business pipelines and continue to develop and drive business with Novell's key alliance partners.
