NetVision NVIdentity

Novell Technology Partner

product details

NVIdentity proliferates and synchronizes user identity data among enterprise applications and directories. It automates cross-directory replication of user/group accounts, resource objects and security features such as passwords. It gives network managers non-intrusive directory synchronization that greatly simplifies and automates identity management, provisioning and de-provisioning. When users are created in one directory, NVIdentity automatically adds those users with their appropriate access rights, permissions, and group associations to the other enterprise directories and applications. When a user is deleted or its access rights are revoked, the user's rights in all other directories and applications are revoked. As users move from one group to another, the individual's new rights are updated and previous rights revoked.

NVIdentity doesn't require any custom driver development, or expensive consulting. It's ready to use right out of the box. As a transaction-based directory synchronization solution it communicates directory changes directly to each native platform without having to convert data or search directories before changes are made. Your primary enterprise directory becomes the authoritative hub for managing user identity and access data across the enterprise.

NVIdentity also reduces the cost of help desk calls by enabling users to manage and even reset their own passwords through its Web based password management interface.

NVIdentity makes it easy to keep directory and identity data consistent across all of an enterprise's disparate directories. It automates data replication and password policy enforcement, with changes propagated based on predetermined business rules. This quick, scalable, inexpensive, and non-intrusive approach makes it possible in one simple step to extend rather than replace existing directory infrastructures.
