Arkeia Network Backup provides enterprise-class functionality and capability at an affordable price. Arkeia Network Backup is a highly scalable solution which is capable of meeting the network backup requirements of companies ranging from small businesses to large enterprises with distributed, heterogeneous environments. All Arkeia backup solutions are based on the same core technology utilizing multiflow/multiplexing technologies and a distributed client/server architecture for reliable, high speed data backup.

It is based on a Linux or Unix backup server, connected via SCSI to a tape device or disk array, which backs up client machines through the TCP/IP network. Client machines can include Linux, Unix, NetWare, Windows, xBSD and Mac OS X operating systems. Configurations can range from as simple as two clients being backed up to a single tape drive, to up to 200 simultaneously multiplexed streams being written to a 32 tape drive. library.

Additional modules for Arkeia Network Backup include a Disaster Recovery module which provides users with a fast, efficient and easy-to-use bare metal disaster recovery capability. Other modules include hot-backup database plugins which enable users to perform hot backups of online databases. Plugins are available for Oracle, DB2, Lotus, MySQL and Microsoft Exchange.
