The Relion 230S is a high performance, compact 2U system powered by dual Intel® Xeon processors running at speeds up to 3.06Ghz. The Relion 230S provides up to 12Gb of PC2100 EDD DDR RAM and up to 1.5 terabytes of hot-swappable Serial ATA disk storage. The Relion 230S disk storage subsystem can be configured with optional hardware or software RAID options. Dual Gigabit and single 10/100 Ethernet ports are standard, with two available 64-bit / 66Mhz PCI slots.

The integrated networking capabilities and expandability of the Relion 230S make it suitable as either a storage and application server or as the cluster master node.
