Vision BeanStore was developed using the latest available technologies, such as Java Bean components and Object Oriented architecture, to take full advantage of thin clients and Internet computing technology. A major design objective of Vision Bean Store was to devise a system framework that can quickly produce multi-platform, multi-channel systems. These systems provide enhanced investment protection for the retailer.

Unlike other POS systems whose primary focus in functionality, Vision BeanStore's focus is both on functionality and architecture. This is important because it is the architecture of a system that determines whether or not that system can adapt to a customer's evolving needs and whether that adaptability is easy or not.
