AutoPurge is a NetWare NLM that periodically (every 5 seconds to every one hour) checks all the volumes on your server for deleted but not yet purged files. If a volume with purgeable files crosses two user-definable thresholds that can cause your server to become unresponsive — by default less than 10% of free space or fewer than 2,000 free blocks exist — then the volume will automatically be purged.
In addition AutoPurge allows you to purge the volumes on your server:
- on demand, without taking control over the server prompt or dismounting the volume (including the sys:_netware directory that purge.exe can't touch)
- when the volume reaches a defined number of purgeable blocks or files
- Daily at a scheduled time
- Purge all files, or only those files deleted more than X days ago.
