Licensing and registration
All counter services and office work can be carried out by means of IKOL-KFZ, including first registration of second-hand cars, relicensing of cars from other regions, relicensing of cars deleted from the register, definitive deletion, change of owner data or technical parameters, preliminary or temporary deletion, notes on change of ownership, change of registration numbers, relicensing after dormancy, theft notes and KBA messages for the files. Management of red license plate numbers is equally supported by the system. The same applies to all procedures of export registration, from application to generation of international registration documents.

The eGovernment solution eKOL-KFZ can be used to settle "from home" registration of vehicles or cancellation or any change to the status of registration, and also select the favoured licence plate number.

Notifications and deadline management
Automated deadline management is a highly useful component of IKOL-KFZ, for example, in the context of all sorts of notifications. An insurance notification, for example, may have to be made in up to four phases, each of them with a re-submission deadline, say, from first police notice to INPOL investigation.

Printing and data output
A form sheet printer is attached to the system for no-delay, neat and immaculate printing of vehicle documents and automatic output of protocols. Messages for other institutions are computer-generated on diskette or tape or paper (e. g. notes for KBA, tax offices, insurance companies or other local licensing and registration offices).

Routine work
Routine work can be automated by means of IKOL-KFZ. Desk officers, consequently, may buy time for important operations which call for human attention.
