Lumen Software Portal

The Lumenation Portal is an enterprise middleware/framework utilizing Lumen Software's AJAX based z-Windows technology delivering superior performance and scaling capabilities. The out-of-the-box Portal requires no development and provides a role-based user/application managed portal environment that is browser-based, localized (multi-lingual) and has an extensive suite of Lumenation applications and a Software Development Kit.

The Portal is the perfect Novell YES certified product to offset the migration of customers to Sharepoint and other Portal products. It is designed to provide organizations with a secure means to communicate information to different groups. Because multiple groups and locations can be created in the system, information that is relevant to one specific group can be isolated from another group. However, information that requires collaboration or viewing by multiple groups can be shared with all groups. Lumenation has built in artificial intelligence that knows who the user is when they login and what applications they have rights to and the rights (read, edit, and full) they have within each application.

The fast executing Portal provides organizations with easy to manage user authentication and user application provisioning. Organizations can incorporate existing applications as well as Lumenation modules and provision them through one central Portal. The Lumenation Portal is LDAP compliant, and can easily utilize directory services (eDirectory) for provisioning. The Portal resides on SLES 9, and incorporates Novell's Identity Management products.
